Terms

Bookings:

Full payment in advance is needed to secure a booking. Payment can be made by cheque (payable to Glyn Peris) or by bank transfer (please see 'How to Book' for details)

By making a payment, you are agreeing to the terms listed below.

For personal, one to one guided walks, the cost of the walk is for up to 7 hours. Should the walk take longer due to the pace of the individual, there will be a charge of £10.00 per extra hour taken to complete the walk.

For group bookings, the organisor of the group will be responsible for the total payment in one lump sum.

Cancellations:

Please note that deposits for guides cannot be refunded and dates cannot be changed once booked and paid for.

Kit list:

If a member of the group arrives without the complete kit list or if it is in poor condition, the guide(s) may use their discretion in deciding whether that person be allowed to join the walk.

Fitness and ability

Each member of the group must declare any medical conditions or injuries that may affect their ability to safely complete the walk by completing a supplied medical form and returning it to us 7 days before the date of the walk.

Each member of the group must bring any medication they may need and must declare it to the guide before commencing the walk.

Routes:

The guide will discuss with the individual or organiser of the group which route will be best, taking age range, level of fitness and ability and weather conditions on the day into account. If the weather conditions dictate that the chosen walk will not be safe, an alternative low level walk will take place.

The individual or organiser of the group will be told where to meet and at what time. Neither Glyn Peris nor the guide(s) can be responsible for any late arrivals who have missed their start time.

Liability:

All our guides are fully qualified mountain leaders with first aid certification and personal indemnity insurance. It is always advisable to take out personal insurance cover in case of injury when walking or climbing in the mountains. Below are links to two companies specialising in insurance for outdoor avtivities.

Group safety:

Glyn Peris guides would like to point out that the reason we specify 6 people per guide is purely for safety reasons. Should a member of a larger group become ill or injured or they find the challenge too much, a second guide means they can deal with the situation without affecting the rest of the group's challenge to summit Mount Snowdon.

If someone in a smaller group should have to stop for any reason, I'm sure you would understand that for safety reasons, your guide has the final decision whether to carry on or return. Please bear in mind that should other members of the group decide to carry on without their guide, they do so at their own risk and will have broken the contract with their guide, and may invalidate insurance cover.
